This longtime PGA Tour veteran collected two victories early in the 2010 season – at the Verizon Heritage and the Transitions Championship. In 15 PGA Championship appearances, Furyk’s best finish came in 1997 at Winged Foot where he tied for sixth. Furyk finished tied for 63rd in the 2009 PGA Championship. though this three-time major champion
has never hoisted the Wanamaker
Trophy, he has come close, with four top-five finishes and a tie for sixth at the
2009 PGA Championship at Hazeltine
National. By his own account he's
playing his best golf of the past few
years with two Tour victories in March
and a top-three finish at the U. S. Open.
