Kim has missed a large portion of the 2010 season due to surgery on his left thumb. Prior to the injury he recorded four top 10-finishes in his first eight starts, including a victory at the Shell Houston Open. Kim has made the cut in his first three appearances in the PGA Championship; he finished tied for 51st in 2009. Anthony Kim Dallas, Texas
Kaymer is making his third PGA
Championship appearance this week, after
tying for sixth in 2009. The 25-year-old German
standout spends the majority of his time competing
on the European Tour where his best finish this
season, a tie for eighth, came at the Alstom Open de
France. In several 2010 starts on the PGA Tour his
best result was a tie for third at the WGC-CA
Championship at Doral.

McDowell catapulted his way up the World Golf Ranking
with his victory at the 110th U.S. Open at Pebble Beach,
becoming the first European to win the Open in 40 years. The prior
week he won the Wales Open at Celtic Manor Resort, site of the
2010 Ryder Cup. Despite being relatively unknown in this country
prior to his triumph, the golfing community is not surprised that the
poised and cool McDowell is a major champion. He looks to bring
that same mentality to this week’s PGA Championship, where he
tied for 10th in 2009.
