The PGA of America announced today that Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will host the 2032 PGA Championship. That will make it the first venue to host the strongest field in golf six times.
The Club previously hosted the 2022, 2007, 1994, 1982 and 1970 PGA Championships as well as the 2021 Senior PGA Championship.
“We could not be more excited to return to Southern Hills Country Club for the 114th PGA Championship in May 2032,” said PGA of America President Don Rea Jr., PGA Master Professional and Owner/Operator of Augusta Ranch Golf Club (Arizona). “Southern Hills and its incredible members as well as the entire Tulsa community have always welcomed the PGA of America, our PGA Members and our Major Championships with authentic, neighborly hospitality. We look forward to bringing the PGA Championship back to not only a first class community, but a world renowned golf course that will challenge the world’s best golfers as they compete for the iconic Wanamaker Trophy.”

At the 2022 PGA Championship, 29-year-old Justin Thomas matched John Mahaffey’s record for the biggest comeback in Championship history. Thomas began the final round T-7 and seven strokes off the lead before shooting 3-under 67 on Sunday. He then birdied two of three holes to edge Will Zalatoris in the three-hole aggregate playoff and capture his second Wanamaker Trophy.
In 2007, Tiger Woods registered a final-round 1-under 69 to claim his fourth Wanamaker Trophy. Woods shot a second-round 63, tying the Southern Hills course record first set by Raymond Floyd during the first round in 1982.
At the 1994 PGA Championship, Nick Price turned in a dominant performance en route to a six-stroke victory. The Zimbabwe native tallied a final-round 67 to finish 11-under for the week.
Raymond Floyd won the 1982 PGA Championship by three strokes over runner-up Lanny Wadkins. Dave Stockton fired a 66 in the third round of the 1970 PGA Championship to take a three stroke lead, and held off final-round charges by Arnold Palmer and Bob Murphy to win by two.
“We are honored that Southern Hills Country Club will host the 2032 PGA Championship,” said Brett Pratt, President of Southern Hills Country Club. “We are grateful to continue our wonderful long-standing partnership with the PGA of America. Hosting this Championship for a record sixth time underscores our club’s rich tradition and commitment to the game of golf. We eagerly anticipate welcoming the world’s best golfers and spectators to our course and sharing Southern Hills, the city of Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma with the entire world.”
The Championship Course at Southern Hills Country Club was originally designed by Perry Maxwell and opened for play in 1936. Gil Hanse executed a 2019 restoration to reflect Maxwell’s original vision.
The Championship Course is consistently recognized as one of the top 100 golf courses in the country and world, including being ranked 24th on GOLF’s 2024-25 Top 100 Courses in the U.S. list, and has been included among Golf Digest’s 100 greatest courses since 1966.
